Kikuyu Water Company Procurement Officer Job in Kenya

Kikuyu Water Company Ltd is incorporated under the Companies Act (Cap.486) and is an agent appointed by Athi Water Services Board (AWSB) for the efficient and economical provision of water and sewerage services within Kikuyu Township and its environs.

The Company wishes to recruit a qualified candidate to fill the vacant post of a Procurement Officer. Reporting to Finance & Admin. Manager, the Procurement Officer is expected to add value to Company’s operations through the Procurement section and will be responsible for Planning and coordination of procurement services; implementing and enforcing procurement policies and regulations and taking control of procurement processes.

Desired Qualifications
  • At least a Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management or its approved equivalent from a recognized institution; Knowledge of Public Procurement and Disposal Act and Regulations; 
  • Member of CIPS or KISM; 
  • Familiarity with chain processes and procedures; 
  • At least three (3) years practical experience in procurement; 
  • Mastery of modern computer application skills; 
  • Good interpersonal and public relationship

The mandate of the Authority is to promote the highest standards in the quality and efficiency of industrial training in Kenya and ensure an adequate supply of properly trained manpower at all levels in industry. 
In order for the Authority to accomplish its mandate, the Board is seeking to recruit suitable and motivational individuals to fill the positions as follows;

1. Manager, Human Resources and Administration

The Manager, Human Resources will be reporting to the Director General.

1. Duties and responsibilities:

The Manager, Human Resources and Administration shall:
  • Develop human resource policies and strategies;
  • Implement human resource programs and policies that will enhance a positive organizational culture;
  • Guide the Authority in appropriate placement of the staff, suitability interviews and Job Evaluations;
  • Ensure organizational conformity with the applicable laid down HR policies and procedures, regulations and relevant statutes;
  • Identify, evaluate and resolve human relations issues, employees morale, work performance, organizational productivity concerns;
  • Create employee training and organizational programs to facilitate staff development;
  • Guide in talent development and retention strategies;
  • Guide and conduct Performance Appraisals and reviews, monitoring employee productivity and performances;
  • Guide staff recruitment, posting, transfers, induction, welfare and disciplinary procedures according to the laid down policies;
  • In liaison with the Director General, design competitive compensation schemes and attractive employee welfare program to be submitted to the Authority for consideration;
  • Guide in the establishment of an appropriate Pension Scheme, Medical Schemes, and a suitable Human Resource Information System, including payroll administration and other relevant schemes.

Eligibility Criteria: Graduates in Commerce with minimum two years of relevant experience with proficiency in accounting software with good computer skills and conversant with local Tax Rules and regulations.

All times seeking to raise the efficiency of logistics systems nationwide and increase their cost-effectiveness.

Eligibility Criteria: Degree in any discipline.

Executive Reception & Telesales

1 Position

It’s purpose is to ensure that the policy guidelines and priorities adopted by the entire team of Nagarjuna are complied with and rigorously implemented at every level.

To take care of the development, implementation as well as conduct office staff and office volunteers training meetings as and when needed.

Eligibility Criteria: Degree in sales,telemarketing, or related field from an accredited institution.
