The Board of National Bank of Kenya Limited wishes to recruit a Managing Director due to the impending retirement of the incumbent Managing Director towards the end of 2012.

The incoming Managing Director should be a high caliber, results oriented and self driven professional who will be expected to spearhead growth and diversification strategies to accelerate profits, dividends and shareholder value.

Job Profile

Implementing the Board’s policy decisions in a result oriented and timely manner to achieve the Bank’s vision, mission, goals, objectives and agreed performance targets.
Implement the Bank’s strategic plan with reviews to realign the plan to contemporary changing situations.
Ensure first class customer service driven through people, ICT and continuous service research and innovation.
Ensure continuous product innovation and diversification covering a diverse customer range including individuals, SME, retail and corporate clients.
Continuously monitoring economic, business regulatory and other related trends to determine their potential impact on plans and operations of the Bank and initiating the necessary logistical steps.
Forge strategic alliances with key stakeholders designed to market mutually beneficial and profitable products and services.
Judicious cost management and cost containment without hampering growth.
Prudent investment and risk mitigation strategies.
Staff motivation and development to ensure retention of highly motivated and committed human capital.
To carry out all other duties delegated by the Board of Directors from time to time.

The Country Director will lead and be responsible for all programmatic and financial operations and will ensure the country program’s projects and programs are executed with quality and accountability.

The Country Director will also lead country program efforts to respond to calls for proposals and other funding opportunities.

Responsibilities and functions include, but not limited to:

•Oversee the development of a multi-year strategic plan to establish a coherent and realistic strategic direction for the country program
•Oversee and participate in the management of country office human resources
•Oversee country office efforts to secure institutional funding and in-country resources mobilization from local individuals, businesses, and governmental sources

K-Rep Development Agency Job Kenya

K-Rep Development Agency is a microfinance institution involved in the development and testing of new financial products and services for low-income people.

The Deputy Managing Director is a key member of the Senior management team responsible for providing program and administrative management and for ensuring that field operations are conducted effectively and efficiently in support of KDA’s projects.

Based in Nairobi, the position works with the entire KDA team and reports to the Managing Director to ensure performance standards are met.

Responsibilities

Program Management and Staff Supervision

* Provide strategic vision, guidance and leadership on matters relating to KDA’s programming, strategy, management, governance, and budget
* Supervise and provide substantive guidance, feedback and support to designated project staff in refining the overall strategic direction of KDA’s focus area, in establishing project priorities, and in designing and carrying out projects
* Put into place a process to oversee the preparation of the annual strategies of projects and budget plans with the Managing Director, project staff and board
* Develop and apply learning, monitoring and evaluation criteria to better measure the effectiveness and outcomes of KDA’s projects
* As required, represent the Managing Director at meetings
* Develop and coordinate special projects as requested by the Managing Director
