Key Responsibilities
Liaisewith the various partners and stakeholders to ensure that training activitiestake place as planned;
Provide administrative support and assist in admission, orientation andgraduation of course participants;
Organize the training venues and other logistics for trainees, trainers andproject staff e.g. accommodation and transport for participants, trainingequipment and stationery, etc
Take relevant imprests and account for them

Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:

Principal and Nursing Lecturer Jobs in Kenya

The Principal, Kapsowar School of Nursing

The purpose of the position is to bring glory to God by managing the AICKapsowar School of Nursing and the spiritual ministry to staff and students.

Reporting to the hospital administrator, the successful candidate will beresponsible for planning, directly evaluating and supervising training ofnursing students.

He/she should be an advocate of professionalism, good nursing / training,teamwork, staff and self development.

Specific Responsibilities:

The incumbents’ main duties (but not limited to) will be:
  • Planning and coordinating students’ theory and practical training.
  • Organizing master rotational plans for students’ learning experiences.
  • Coordinating the development and review of training curriculum and programmes.
  • Ensure high standards of nursing education.
  • Coordination with the Nursing council and other relevant institutions/authorities.
  • HR Management: recruitment of Nursing School personnel, updating job descriptions and standards of performance for all personnel working in the Nursing School, Monitor the performance of staff and perform an annual Staff Appraisal on all staff
Qualifications:

Educational requirements:
 MinimumDegree in Nursing or KRCHN with DAN. Masters degree in Education in any of thefollowing fields: Health Care Management, Nursing Administration and Psychologywill be an added advantage.

Must be a committed Born again Christian with at least five (5) years innursing practice and three (3) years post graduation teaching experience.

Excellent interpersonal communication and customer relations skills.

Others: Be proficient in Microsoft office applications, Good knowledge in economicand financial topics, excellent organizational skills.

Nursing Lecturer

A committed Christian with KRCHN/ DAN/Med.ED or KRCHN with a degree in nursing(BScN/BN).


Two (2) years post graduation/internship nursing practice and two (2) yearsteaching experience.

Minimum Qualifications

(i) Professors

  • At least twelve (12) years of University teaching experience at Lecturer level and above.
  • Have successfully supervised three (3) PhD students, since being appointed Associate Professor.
  • Show evidence of continuing Research including having published at least four (4) articles in refereed journals since being appointed Associate Professor.
(ii) Associate Professors

Applicant must be holders of a B.Pharm, M.Pharm/MSc/ PharmD and PhD in arelevant Pharmacy Discipline, from a recognized University.

In addition to the above requirements, the applicant must have;
  • Have at least eight (8) years of University teaching four (4) of which at a Senior Lecturer level.
  • Have successfully supervised two (2) PhD students, since being appointed Associate Professor.
  • Have published at least 4 research papers since being appointed Senior Lecturer.
(iii) Senior Lecturers

Applicant must be holders of a B.Pharm, M.Pharm/MSc/ PharmD and PhD in arelevant Pharmacy Discipline, from a recognized University.

In addition to the above requirements, the applicant must have;
  • Have at least (5) years of University teaching experience; three (3) as a full-time Lecturer.
  • Have successfully supervised at least three (3) Masters students since being appointed Lecturer.
  • Show evidence of continuing research including having published at least three (3) articles in refereed journals since being appointed as a Lecturer.
(iv) Lecturers

Applicant must be holders of a B.Pharm, M.Pharm/MSc/ PharmD and PhD in arelevant Pharmacy Discipline, from a recognized University.

In addition to the above requirements, the applicant must have;
  • Presented at least three (3) Seminar papers or has two (2) publications in refereed Journals.
  • A full-time University teaching experience as an Assistant Lecturer for at least three (3) years.
  • Applicants with BPharm and MPharm or PharmD; Or an MSc. Degree in a relevant pharmacy area may also be considered.
(v) Assistant Lecturers

Applicant must be holders of a B.Pharm, M.Pharm/MSc/ PharmD and evidence ofcurrently pursuing a PhD Degree at a recognized university.
