About the Role
This role will support the development of community health initiatives(including malaria and HIV) implemented by partner organisations acrossChristian Aid’s Africa programme.
It will involve:
- the provision of technical support to country programme teams to enable them to develop community health programmes that integrate malaria, TB and HIV;
- support to effective monitoring and evaluation of health programmes;
- the development of fundraising proposals to institutional donors;
- networking to ensure that CA is linked into key community health networks across Africa;
- support to the development of learning and best practise across the Africa Division of Christian Aid, ensuring that this is fed into global positioning;
- support to the development of CA Africa and global policy;
- support to the development of CA policy and positioning on malaria, HIV and community health.
About You
You will have substantive experience of community health interventions inAfrica with a particular focus on malaria and HIV.
You will have significant experience of working with donors, programmedevelopment, monitoring and evaluation and the capacity development of localorganisations.
You will have experience of supporting others including partner organisationsto develop programmes.
You will have demonstrated the ability to secure funding from institutionaldonors and to support the implementation of donor funded projects.
You will have good knowledge of the links between health and gender and rightsbased programming.
You will have excellent written and spoken English and preferably a knowledgeof French. You will have excellent Word processing, Excel and other relevantcomputer skills.
To fulfil this post you will have a Masters degree in Public or CommunityHealth.
